Milebrook from the Radnorshire Hills

Our new branding is based on the deep blue colour taken from Sir Wilfred's Blue Plaque and a line drawing of the House

The Heart of Wales railway line runs along the Teme Valley floor close to The House.

The principal part of the House was built in 1760 as the Dower House of the nearby Stanage Castle. The red-brick wing seen on the right was added in the mid-nineteenth century, and our four bookable rooms are in 'The West Wing' which was completed in 1996 (and opened by Sir Wilfred Thesiger).

Sir Wilfred Thesiger's remarkable and long life is immortalised by this Blue Plaque on the front of the House

The house can be found by its elegant hanging blue sign and is accessed through traditional white gates.
